MSRRC Regional Information Services

Information Services for the Regional Resource Center Program (RRCP) have undergone some significant changes recently, with our new cooperative agreement. We are anxious to continue to provide research services and state scans (i.e., provide national perspective) for information that is useful and of high quality. In an effort to accomplish this, and provide a consistent approach through the RRCP, the following protocol will be used.

State requests for information should be made through their RRCP State Liaison. The liaison will ask clarifying questions, set appropriate deadlines, and determine the scope of the information or research needed. The request will then come to the RRCP facilitated by the Information Research Cadre (IRC). State information will be accessed through state liaisons in the program, and synthesized by the IRC where it will then be provided to the requestor. Topical research services will be provided by the IRC as well. The RRCP is committed to ensure that these research services will be conducted in a timely manner.

Teresa Blythe at MSRRC is a is a member of the IRC and provides relevant education-related resources and information to RRCP staff, State Education Agency (SEA) staff, and Part C lead agency staff across the program. The IRC provides technical assistance to states to help see how other states address various issues such as compliance with IDEA 2004, OSEP monitoring, large scale assessment, and alternate assessment, just to name a few.

MSRRC products include publications specifically by MSRRC staff and consultants on a variety of issues. To view our products, please go to the Publications page to find PDF documents available for downloading.
