Tuesday June 30th, 2009 - Northeast Part C Meeting on General Supervision and the Use of Self-Assessments at the Local Level
On June 30, NERRC hosted a web meeting for Part C personnel in the Northeast region. Debra Hannigan, the Part C and Section 619 Coordinator from Maine, described their General Supervision system and introduced self-assessment tools that have been developed by Vicki Hornus at NERRC and Part C personnel in the state. The self- assessments are used at the local level for program improvement and corrective action planning. These self-assessment tools have been created for indicators C1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and B11. NERRC has created a generic version of all six self-assessments that states could adapt for their own use.
In addition, Anne Lucas from NECTAC and WRRC reviewed the Local Contributing Factor tool developed by the General Supervision Priority Team from the RRC program and NECTAC. This tool addresses indicators C1, 7, 8, 9, and B15, 11, and 12. It can be used for collecting and using valid and reliable data to determine underlying factors impacting local performance so that meaningful Corrective Action Plans can be developed. This web meeting is archived here.
